COPPE - Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro
The Civil Engineering Program (PEC) has as its main objective the development of high-level research, training masters and doctors in strategic areas for national scientific and technological development.
The formation of the Laboratory brings together and integrates the divisions that historically developed alongside the PEC, namely: Div. of Tracers (1972); Div. of Hydrology and Environmental Studies (1987) and Div. of Computational Hydraulics (1998).
are supported by the administrative structure of the Polytechnic School (Poli/UFRJ), which encompasses the university's engineering courses, located in the Technology Center (CT), at the University City. In this space, students have access to the Hydrology and Water Resources Laboratory, which serves as the headquarters of the satellite team; as well as the Structures and Materials Laboratory (Labest).
